Kaan Ugrasiz is an aquaculture engineer with successful experience in creating qualified content about aquaculture and public seafood consumption for nearly ten years on his website www.denizdenbabamciksa.com.

He is specialized in new technologies, new methods, different areas of use consumption benefits of the aquaculture and creates contents to raise awareness of   the aquaculture in different media formats, such as text based books, flyers; audio based podcasts and indispensably, video based infographics and graphic based short movies.

Kaan, who has witnessed the lack of qualified information, believes that public perception of seafood should be improved. With this aim, he regularly publishes  some publications in English which is widely accepted as the universal communication language, by translating them into his own mother tongue, Turkish.

Kaan, who can efficiently use the right softwares that should be used while delivering the content to  the end stakeholder, shares phototypographic, document-, vector- and video-based content with interested-oriented groups and institutions, especially on his web page and social media accounts.

Professional experience

In my current position, I carry out all Wordpress-based website productions and content and interface works of the group company I work with in a multilingual way, including Turkish, English, German, French, Spanish and Russian. I take photos of the products that the company produces or offers for sale with a professional camera and prepare them for sale in online stores. I prepare all the products required for corporate communication with a design focus and send them to the printing house in a ready-to-print format or make them ready to be shared on social media tools.

During my experience at Digitech / Nordham, I overlooked the entire brand identity materials, white papers, web sites. The web site part also involved re-thinking and implementing the content layout, product photography and coordinating the 3D studios for renders.

At ArGeVis, I was in charge of e-commerce operations as well as designing and developing printed materials tailored to the customers - local pharmacies. On top, I coordinated the entire process of putting together events about the pharma industry, from brainstorming to finalisation with business plans.

I also had the opportunity to teach aspiring students all about CV creation and utilising design softwares as part of our special company events.

Imaj Cosmetic Warehouse, 2014 - 2015

Running and managing all e-commerce operations of Imaj cosmetic’s online store which also involved marketing and communications.

Mercedes-Benz Türk, 2007 - 2010

  • Social media management for the local “Travego Firarda” campaign

In the series of Travego Firarda, a project developed by Mercedes-Benz Türk for university students, between 2008 and 2010, I was responsible for the social media communication of the event, and in the tour organized in 2009, I took the event photos of the concerts held in 11 different cities.  This was my first work experience in marketing communications.

Thanks to this project, where I worked with the Mercedes-Benz Turk team, I had the opportunity to produce quality content and share it in the right channels, work discipline, reporting, and get to know the corporate culture of an important brand.  Even today, the source of my motivation to maintain the same discipline while taking a job from start to finish is this project, which is my first work experience.
